Effective January 1, 2023, a new California law Senate Bill 216, Chapter 978, requires Proof of Workers’ Compensation Insurance on file with the CSLB for C-8 Concrete; C20 HVAC; C-22 Asbestos Abatement; and D-49 Tree Service. As of that date, no license in these classifications will be issued, reinstated, reactivated, or renewed without Proof of Workers’ Compensation Insurance.

Important Deadlines:
- If your CSLB license renewal is due between January 1, 2023, and June 30, 2023: the CSLB will not renew your license without proof of Workers’ Compensation.
- If your CSLB license renewal is due after June 30, 2023: you must file Proof of Workers Compensation with CSLB by July 1, 2023.
